we meandered around the city all day relishing the christmas atmosphere madrileño.
we bought a lottery ticket in puerta del sol (spanish christmas tradition)
we. ate. a. lot. we had duck with apple marmelade, spinach lasagna, crêpes, basque tapas, chocolate cake and wine at resaurants with snug surroundings (dim lights, brick walls, low music, candles)
we visited the prado to see the hermitage exhibition
((i got off to a good start this weekend. on friday after work i opened a big christmas package from mom and rick filled with an assortment of goodies for me and roberto. thank you so much for the thoughtful gifts! :)))
